Parents against piercings?

This is going to make me sound really snobby but w/e. My parents get mad at me when asking/talking about piercings because well I said no more piercings after my bellybutton piercing. I do tons of research and I'm told quite often I'm a mature, responsible young lady. I understand I shouldn't go back on my promise, but it's so hard. I have loved piercings since the age of 12 (14 now). I always look at pictures and plan what I shall get once I turn 18 (even though I'll probably get kicked out of the house for it...), I get quite upset looking at pictures knowing I have to wait another 4 years (yeah, I'm immature I know). I can see they don't understand my need to express myself through piercings because they never had that as kids, but I'm not a teen who gets whatever piercings her friends get (all of my friends have only their ears pierced) to fit in or to be cool and what not, I find them a great way to bulid some self-confidence and express myself. I love everyone of my piercings and even though this sounds weird, feel odd without my jewerly in. I have tried to say it can be my only xmas gift and I will pay for it but doesn't work. I could do a whole project on this thing, paper or presentation and they probably wouldn't even glance at it. I pierced my own ears once, I just wanted it so bad and couldn't take it anymore. I told them a week later and I can't even explain the guilt I felt. I actually feel I'm harmful to myself because I am so close to repeating that step with a more unsafe place, I would explain this to my parents but they would never let me get it done pro, they would think I was lying to try to scare them to let me get a piercing. I sound snobby and spoiled, and I'm being immature but I just want to know any ideas how to convince them and/or to stop this behavior and drop the piercing thing (which I have done many times unsuccessfully). Pleas I would rather have no negative answers. Thank-you.
